Specialist dyslexia assessments
I provide clear answers, practical guidance and a
deeper understanding of how your child learns.
About Michelle Manning
I'm a specialist teacher assessor with over two decades in education. Before specialising in dyslexia assessment, I worked as a primary teacher, mainstream SENDCo and across a range of specialist educational settings, building a deep understanding of children's diverse learning needs.
My background includes teaching within a Speech and Language Resource Base, working in a specialist school for autistic children, and helping to establish a specialist provision for children at risk of leaving education due to complex needs, including SEMH, ASD and ADHD. These roles have given me valuable insight into the different ways children learn, communicate and engage with education, as well as the importance of recognising and nurturing their individual strengths.
Alongside this extensive educational experience, I hold a Level 7 qualification in Dyslexia Assessment, APC accreditation, and am a member of the Dyslexia Guild. I provide thorough, evidence-based assessments that help families understand their child's unique learning profile and identify practical ways to support them.
As a mother of two, I also understand how important it is to feel confident that your child is being understood and supported. I know that seeking an assessment can feel like a big step, and I aim to make the process warm, reassuring and positive for both children and their families.
My goal is for every child to feel understood, every family to feel supported, and every assessment to provide clarity, confidence and a positive way forward.
